Also, Angel is being pre-empted this week for "The Wizard of Oz" and every other week up until Jan. for some other stuff that isn't a new Angel ep. Unfortunately, WB pre-empts their show's a lot, they just do it in 3-5 week chunks rather than here and there.

As for FOX, they're just stupid. I've seen their executives commenting that Firefly is a show that will have to build an audience slowly. Good that they know that. It's just too bad that they aren't helping it to do so.

The most interesting thing that I read lately about the show is that it actually pulls better ratings numbers than Buffy or Angel. However, FOX expects better numbers than this because their one of the big five networks. Still, I think this works in Firefly's favour because it means that if FOX were to cancel it, it would be a great buy for UPN or WB. FOX may keep Firefly around just to be greedy, if it turns into a big success they wouldn't want to lose out on the profits. I'm thinking here about the way that X-files was kind of a sleeper for the first half of season one, but then became a raging success that people actually stayed home on Friday nights to watch. FOX won't be too eager to cancel Firefly if they see it as their next X-Files. At least, I hope not.

Did anyone here actually watch any of Happy Gilmore last week? I was just curious if FOX ran ads for Firefly during it or not, of course I couldn't bring myself to watch it to find out...
