Subject: Counter-Intuitive Power (spoliers for firefly1.3)

All right, this week we are confronted with a woman who is, in fact, made of ice and steel, but who prefers to use submissiveness to get what she wants. That got me thinking about the notion of counter-intuitive ways of taking power. My thoughts are still a little muddled, but the phrase "power is the ultimate aphrodisiac" keep running through my head. It is clear that there is a power gained by voluntarily submitting - look at the way that Saffron bends Mal right 'round where she wants him. His more direct methods of exercising power only end up undercutting him. Ok, I'm freah out of insight - what do people think about this?
