Subject: More GREAT news.

TV Guide.com printed this news today:

"PUSH RECORD: According to the folks at TiVo, the five most popular new TV shows — based on the number of users who have configured their recorder to automatically record every episode — are CBS's CSI: Miami and Without A Trace, Fox's Firefly and John Doe and ABC's Push, Nevada."

Since both "Firefly" and "John Doe" are configured on so many players to record, if FOX is aware of this news, that would be a good thing...because it proves that, although ratings are not as high, people are still watching...they're taping it. Maybe they'll wise up and move them to a better time slot, which is a possibility, since they're reairing the premiere of "Firefly" and a rerun of "John Doe," starting 8 PM, on Monday the 14th, as I've already announced. Trying to win more viewers? Testing out a new timeslot? Or both?

Adding to the good news is that "Firefly" is not airing next week. Why is this good news? Because next week are the playoffs, and instead of airing the show and having it be pre-empted in NY and LA, they're holding it off until the week after. I don't think it's a coincidence that "Firefly" showed a growth in ratings, even without the highly important NY market, and now they're deciding to not preempt the show the next week. This all looks good.

Personally, I like the Friday night timeslot. I'm more often out on Saturday night than Friday. But if they do decide to move it, I just hope that it isn't on Sunday nights. I already have to juggle watching "Angel," "Sopranos," and "Alias," all at the same time on Sunday night!

Rob
