I still like Inara the best. She doesn't have mystery stamped on her forehead like River, but I imagine she has a very interesting reason for being with Serenity (besides wanting to drooling all over Mal). Kaylee still bothers me a little. Her character isn't quite settled between being young and naive, and being world-wise, so she seems inconsistant to me now. River is also interesting, but she isn't quite of this world, or of any world. I like Zoe a lot, but she's a little too much "Yes, sir! Yes, sir!" right now.

I don't care much for Mal or Jayne. The doctor is a little too much of a psychological basket case at the moment for me, as well. I like Wash, but he looks like the guy Mal is supposed to order around. Shepherd Book could be very interesting if they don't always make him the whipping boy for religion like they did this week.
