Totally agree about Friday's episode. It was excellent. Actually I was thinking about why Firefly hasn't really grabbed me yet, despite the quality of the writing and acting-- we have a character-driven show but no idea about what drives the characters. I blame this fault entirely on the network but it has made for difficult viewing. Friday seemed to be a good start towards letting us see a bit of what makes everyone tick.
