Not only does it have adorable little Kaylee talking shop with all of the gentlemen, while dressed in a poofy dress the likes of which she'd always dreamed of wearing, and that old gentlemen telling off the snobby girls, but it has some swordplay, which, being an old-school Xena fan, I was most appreciative of. And I loved that Innara, the prostitute, of all people, had to teach our resident "hero," Mal, how to use a sword!
And to top it all off is one of my favorite moments in all of ME history: Mal agreeing to be the bigger man and let Atherton live...and then stabbing him once in the stomach for good measure. And then again once more. Which is exactly up my twisted-sense-of-humor alley...which may be why I love Jane E so much. ;o)
This may be a more lightweight, comedic episode, but I love it.
"Bushwhacked" I liked a great deal, too. Very creepy. And much better when I saw it after seeing "Serenity," since it gives a better sense of gravity as just to who the Reavers are and why we should be so scared. Just seeing "Bushwhacked" first, there wasn't enough set-up. Oh, man, I can't wait for the DVD set to come out!
Oh, and I just realized that lucky you will get to see the 3 unaired episodes before we do! So you're gonna go farther in your Serenity Cruise than those of us who saw it when it originally aired on FOX, did!
