Mal and Inara coming clean with each other? Well, maybe is about right. Don't forget, this show is the creation of Joss Whedon - how many different ways can this guy go for the pain? Many. ;) I'm sure that there were plenty of bumps on the road that we just didn't get to travel. Happy couples are boring couples in tvland. We probably would have seen Zoe and Wash go through their share of problems, like we saw in 'War Stories.' If you've watched 'Heart of Gold' you'll remember their brief conversation about having a child. Zoe unexpectedly - for me at least - was the one in favor, while Wash was the one unwilling to bring a child into their way of life.

As for Jayne, he was definitely shaping up to be the Cordelia of Firefly: loveable once you learn to look past the prickly and off-putting outer shell.
