a dark red dun mare walks slowly
into a tall patch of grass looking behind her every so
often to make sure her foal followed. after having
picked out a nice spot to lay down she followed in
doing so. a soft wicker is given calling the little
colt to her side.

the two week old colt stuck
close behind his mother not wanting to lose her in the
taller grass, tall grass that made it so only the top
of his head cold be seen. watching his mom lay down he
stomped around and flattened a spot of his own but was
side tracked by a small toad that happened to be
sitting right where he wanted to lay. lowering his
head he sniffed the affending toad, and wrinkled his
nose at the smell. the toad seeing the colt nose
coming down jumped out of the way startling daylight
of the the unpreppared youngster.
