- WRU Presentation Dinner -- Dom, 16:52:31 07/20/03 Sun
How amusing was that! As one of only two sober people there, I have to say it was a tickling event.
Well done to Laura for her efforts - thought it went really well even if you couldnt hear anyone apart from jenster! :)
Good to see people like Moffett and Hansen there in terms of raising the profile etc.
Here's to it become a regular fixture in the rugby calendar. Only shame was missing quite a few people like Walkers and Louise etc etc - next year now :)

Tycroes Ladies RFC is back and are looking for new players. If anyone is interested in playing then post a reply on here.
Doesn't matter if you've never played before - no need to worry about the rules half the people playing don't know them!
For people who don't know where Tycroes is it's in the Ammanford area but we have players coming from Swansea, Haverfordwest, Llandovery all over the place.
Hope to hear from someone soon (other than Kenny!)

- Small rugby boots -- Sarah, 16:43:23 07/07/03 Mon
I will be visiting Wales in August and am determined to find rugby boots that actually fit. Can anyone suggest a store where I might be able to find boots in sizes less than 40? Unfortunately I will not be visiting Cardiff, and it is unlikely that I will make it to Swansea.

- Maria Thompson -- Dan Thurley, 20:08:26 11/14/02 Thu
Ladies,
I was doing a web search to try and find old mates from my childhood. Sure it might sound geeky - but after a bottle of wine these things seem a good idea.
I knew a girl called Maria Thompson who was born in Hong Kong, lived near Thames Ditton in the UK until about 10/11yrs old, but left for Hong Kong when her father moved to work for a bank there (I think).
Since I'd not have seen Maria for 17/18yrs, I was wondering on the off chance if the London Welsh captain was the one and the same girl.
Be nice to hear from you Maria, if you are the same girl.
Cheers,
If it's not - please feel free to take huge amounts of piss out of this posting
Dan

- passive scrums -- L, 18:16:14 10/06/02 Sun
Anyone know what the rules are when;
playing a team (neither of which have a full team or pack) and the visiting team is told by the opposition that there will be passive scrums with contesting hookers. When they quizzed the ref as to how this would affect points, he said it would have no bearing.
There are many other points to consider, such as the fact that the home side had a young side with an apparently inexperienced front row and the opposition was a heavier pack and they would have had to match numbers at 5 in the scrum if contested.
For the record, the home team won. Wondering what the score is in respect to uncontested scrums and game points?!
