-civillized nations were anglo-saxon or teutonic
-uncivillized were non-white latin or slavic
-economic statas played a part in the weatheer u were civillized or un
-civillized nations: produced suppliers of raw materials& markets
-civillized nations had right to intervene in affairs of a backward nation for order & stability
-1906 american navy that was only surpasses by great britian
