I.Almost all Indian tribes had been moved to the West
A.They were given $68 million and 100 million acres between the Missouri and Red rivers
1.This land was very diiferent from what they were used to as far as quality as well as climate and enviroment
II.Men were to moe even farther west but needed a non brutal way to do so
A.Many whites and Indians have been know to live side by side peacefully in a new culture
1.Whites believed Indians could not be partners like blacks on plantations
a.Jackson said(about Indians)"neither the intelligence, the industry, the moral habits, nor the desire of improvement" only to further agravate the problem of Indian discrimination
