I speak only for myself, not others.

The crown and banner I have was given to me. I did not compete for it. There was no one competing for it and they wanted that title to be represented so they choose me. It's not about competition. The title I represent is a very special title. And they could hand me Miss America and I would take the one I have over that. I was touched in my heart that I was chosen for this title. And it doesn't matter who gave it to me, I accepted it with all my heart and soul for the person it was for!

This Holiday season, we found out that one of my Aunts has Muscular Schlarosis (mind the spellin) It will eventually put her in a wheel chair. We made this Christmas a very special one for her because we don't know if we'll have another one with her. I Thanked God for all that he has blessed me with, My children, my husband, my family and most of all the time I do get to spend with my family.

4 years ago, I lost my mother in law to cancer and it was a very sad time for my husband and his sisters. And going through that along with loosing my father in '97 I have learned that "life is short" and you should treasure the time you have with your family. Thats what I do!

So instead of worrying about how people get titles. Hug your little ones, say a prayer for those who might not be here for the next Holiday season. And just enjoy life. Thats what its all about!

Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas. I did and so did my children.

May the New Year bring some joy to your life.
