I have often wondered why my Dad, an ardent unionist, would name me after a rebel. My Dad has a fondness for military personalities of history. Then again, though I know fairly little about my namesake, I do know that he was eventualy defeated. Being named after a great Welshmen is good I suppose, but rather one that did not fight against his fellow occupants of this island even if in his time its unity was far off in the horizon.
