The entire National Hockey League (NHL) season for this year has been cancelled owing to the players' strike. Some people say that many hockey fans in Canada are so disgusted that they are turning off ice hockey and on to other sports. The traditional British sports may now have a chance to grow in Canada. Soccer is really catching on, rugby is becoming popular and cricket is starting. There is hope for Canada to come more into line with the rest of the Commonwealth after all.

Unbeaten in 6 games, outscoring their competition 41 to 7. I am surprised that FCS brethren outside Canada are not paying attention. These players who are dominating a major international sport at every level are, after all, also loyal subjects of H.M....
