] Date Posted: 17:33:12 12/08/04 Wed In reply to: Dave (UK) 's message, "Canadian Cars" on 14:50:09 12/08/04 Wed its true that there are still quite a few people who for some daft reason think an SUV is a good choice of vehicle in Canada, how they afford the fuel costs is beyond me, or how they can have a clear conscience...however, i had the misfortune to live in texas for two years, and, i kid you not, EVERY OTHER car was either a truck or an SUV...it was appalling...so i may be a bit biased, but compared to texas, Canada does not have nearly as many...personally i hope the Canadian Gov't will put a hefty tax on unefficient vehicles to discourage those who don't need them from buying them(those who do, such as farmers, would be exempt from the tax).
