] Date Posted: 20:47:09 11/15/04 Mon In reply to: Ed Harris (London) 's message, "The Tory Party has finally gone completely bonkers." on 00:29:33 11/14/04 Sun With the aforementioned ceremony having taken place on Thursday, I would like to add a (too) late wildcard entry. The ceremony took place at Edinburgh's prestigious Prestonfield House Hotel, and surprisingly, someone actually did win the award. It was not a rollover. However, if the award had been postponed for a few hours, a different winner would have emerged. Scottish Labour’s answer to Boris’s misdemeanour was provided by Lord Watson (also an MSP). He has today been charged with wilful fire-raising after trying to burn down the hotel in the early hours of Friday morning, after the bar staff refused to serve the inebriated Peer of the Realm any more drink. Not surprisingly, he has no recollection of the event, despite being captured by CCTV cameras. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
