Subject: Celtic Connections Concert

Victoria and I are not long back from Glasgow from seeing and hearing the above concert.

FMM and Shotts were the two Bands on show......and what a show! Victoria has been 'reconverted' to Shotts whilst I got a re-inforcement of FM!

If anyone wants to win this year they have got a helluva fight on their hands. Shotts have obviously been working over the winter - don't think I've heard them this good for a while. Sure there were a few mistakes but all excusable (more on that at the end).

Rab did a solo - very good. Douglas Murray did the next one - breathtaking!

FM were absolutely, in the true sense of the word, awesome and I don't use the phrase lightly! Richard Parkes looked at his most relaxed - nice to see.
Two of their pipers played a duet along with some muppet 'signed' from Boghall on bongos - who promptly lost the tunes halfway through. bet HE'S not there long!

The last set was by FM, their medley from last year. Made you hold your breath!..........and explode it when they had finished!

Disappointing to see drummers playing to music, or not playing at all. Both Bands had one of each! Sorry but if they don't know it they shouldn't be there. Not at that level of Bands.

However, it's still the best £12 I've spent in a long time!

Now wait for the other side of the coin after she reads this!!!!!:O)
