Subject: Tuning

I've gotten some very positive feedback regarding the tuning of the groups lately. I appreciate the compliments although calling me "God" Elijah may have been a bit much. "A God"? Maybe, but certainly not THE God. I digress.

The reality of our tuning is really not much different than what we've been doing for the past 2 years or so. We now re-balance the chanters for maximum effectiveness on harmonies prior to tuning, but the reality is I'm not working any more or less than I have in the past.

"Then why do we sound so much better?"

Glad you asked, because there is a difference in sound between this year and last year. If it ain't me, what does that leave.............?

You guessed it.....YOU.

You're all getting better at playing as a band. At least in terms of blowing. We did a lot of work on that over the winter, and we'll continue to work on it.

Be proud of the accomplishments we've made in this area. We will continue to focus on this, as well as some other critical areas, in the future.

The band is really starting to sound incredible. Keep it up. It's not me doing this, it's you!
