Before we go too crazy on uniforms... :)

Different shirts and waistcoats are certainly a possibility to spiff things up and give us an improved presence to match our improved sound for 2005. But we WON'T be adding dated information to the uniform in a permanent manner. The major problem is once the anniversary date passes, whatever uniform item with the date becomes outdated. And there's continuity.... as people come and go in the band, why keep producing an outdated item of kit? I'm not saying we can't have the band name, just no "1980-2005" stuff.

Back to the shirt/waistcoats, I want our band to look just as good as we play next season! It's that moment when we round the corner marching to the line and people hear a magnificent sound, turn around and go "Hey! Oh look that's Mes... wait, who is that? They look different. Is that Mesa? HEY! THAT's MESA!!! COOOOOL! Listen to that! Look at 'em! They're on the rise man!!! They're gonna win the Worlds." It's all about publicity.

I'm investigating our options on this at the moment and if it's reasonable, it just might happen.

Kev
