My pleasure. It was an unexpected request, but it only took me a minute to accept the challenge. I'm looking forward to leading a fine group of drummers into competition with an equally fine group of pipers. This will take some getting used to, but I see great things ahead for this unit. Thanks for the vote of confidence!

As a nod to my mentor Dave, I started off the grade 4 drum section in style by doing stick balancing tricks and other assorted silliness while the pipers tuned. I have a challenging task ahead to show the world what I've learned from my buddy Dave. But with some luck (and assorted explosives, tools, spy gear, coat hangers, rubber bands, make-up - don't ask - and bottle caps) I should be able to do it justice.
