THE HOUSE

The house
Now empty.
Only images linger
like ghosts
haunting my spirit.

I returned
Nothing left here
for me.
An empty house,
Filled with only empty promises.
The truth is no so evident.

My life has gone on
without you.
Ghosts no longer haunt me.
The end has finally come.

As I stand at the door
ready to leave.
I remember...
You left first.
