The one Ed and I had was a BB Bronze. He could hardly walk and looked like an emu on short legs. He was so big that I couldn't get my arms around him. It took both of us to check out a foot problem he had once. He was very docile so holding him wasn't the problem. The problem was he was so large neither of us could do anything with him alone. He lived to be 4 which I understand is old for a broad breasted bird. We'd always planned to slaughter him when one of his legs finally went out, but he went down suddenly 3-4 days after Katrina. At that point slaughtering him was the least of our worries...
