Subject: Frost?

We have a frost this morning! Hopefully, this will be our last one. I have cabbage and onions struggling in my garden. Seems some kinda lil' varmint has decided it likes cabbage. The results remind me of a cutworm. I have been dosing the plants with sevin dust. I planted 27 and 3 plants have died. A mama squirrel came out of her nest in the backyard with 6 babies. They are all over the place. I found a couple of chewed places in the handrail of my deck. The war IS ON!! I have trapped all but the mama and 2 of the babies, plus, another two that happened to come along. I have been relocating them down by the creek area. I'm hopiing that they will not cross the big open areas trying to get back to their home territory. My pair of Red Shouldered Hawks have eggs now. Sometimes I can see the tip of a tail sticking out over the edge of the nest. My pear trees have little eraser size fruit already. I'm hoping this frost does not affect them.
