We wrapped the banana tree today and covered the orange tree. I'll likely stick a string of christmas lights on the orange just to be sure. It's trying to bloom and they smell so great! I want to enjoy the scent this year if possible. The elephant ears have already started sprouting so I threw some cover over them just to keep them from being frostbit.
Mother and Daddy popped in Sunday afternoon. I got them to go out to look at my next door neighbor's Japanese Magnolia. My neighbor just happens to be their minister. The tree is in full bloom and is the largest I've ever seen. You can see it over the roof of their house. Daddy said he hoped the preacher is praying for the tree. It's a shame the cold weather is going to get the blooms. It really is a great looking tree.
