Oooooo, ice cubes! Brrrrrrr!

After my exercises, which includes a workout in the gym on their machines, I get ultrasound and electrotherapy on my knee. The ultrasound is nice because it's almost like a massage. The electrotherapy I don't like as much. There are 4 electrodes placed around my knee. Then the machine is turned on and the level can be increased to whatever I'm comfortable with. The pulsing sensation isn't so bad, nor is the vibration one. The one that feels like I'm being poked with toothpicks isn't so nice. lol For about 10 minutes I have to lay there and then it shuts itself off once the timer is done. While I have that done, there is an ice pack across my knee. Then I can leave!

But what is the most uncomfortable is the stretching and the arc trainer machine. The stretching usually creates some pain and the arc trainer (like an eliptical stepping/walking machine) makes me feel like I've just run a marathon. Well, Ok... maybe not a marathon, lol, but it makes my heart pound and my knees feel like jelly. :D Guess I need more therapy to get in shape. lol
