Subject: Hawk's Nest

I finally took a few images of the Red Shouldered hawk's nest. I have been watching them for a couple of months as they moved in and finished their nest that they started last year. I think the eggs have now hatched because at least one bird sits on the edge of the nest at all times. Now the most unusual part, this nest is right above my chicken pens, not 50' from my dog pen, in the backyard. I mow and weedeat, feedup, and not once have I noticed that the hawks were disturbed! They are profiecent hunters. Not once did I even see a snake last year. Except one, and it was in the talons of one of the hawks as it flew across the driveway.
