We have a neighbor a few doors down who has a flock of pigeons that he lets out to fly. The times when I'm out in the yard and see them flying around, I've never seen a hawk swoop in and take one. But a while back when a few of our pigeons got out accidentally, this young hawk appears out of nowhere, like a stealth bomber, and takes our bestest male! Life is SO unfair! Hawks! I love 'em and hate 'em. (sigh!)
