Subject: We're baaaaaaaaack!

Boy, I hate moving! Lemme rephrase that. I HATE moving!!!

Next time, if there even IS a next time, I swear we're hiring movers to do it! And it was hot while we were moving. And humid! Ugh! I'm so glad it's all over with. Now all we have to do is finish unpacking some boxes.

And finally it's cooled off. Well, I should say the past several days have been cool. Almost like fall! Today, though, the afternoon got pretty warm.

Monday we had some terrible rain storms come through, with lots of lightning and thunder. And of course, I had to drive through it for an appointment. Ugh. I was glad to get back home.

Things are beginning to settle down and we're getting used to life here on the farm. It's really nice at night... no city noises, no car/truck traffic, no highway drone (we used to be like a mile from a major highway), no sirens, no foot traffice from the local club, no domestic fights... it's sooo nice! At night we hear crickets and cicadas, along with the occasional snort from a horse out in the fields.

Hopefully, things won't be too bad in wintertime. This place is nothing but hills! So we're planning on stocking up on ice melter.

It's nice having my horse right in my backyard. I love being able to see her every day.

Gotta find the digital camera and USB cable so I can post some pics. :)
