In reply to: mikey 's message, "So, what did ya'll do this weekend?" on 06:33:48 09/22/08 Mon

I have to work on Sat's, so my weekend doesn't really begin until Sun. After work on Sat, we do grocery shopping. Then feed the critters and ourselves and then relax. Sometimes watch a DVD.

Sun I had to pull burrs out of my mare's mane and tail. Ugh. (My mare had been "assigned" to this little, unused pasture, which is full of burrs along the dry creekbed. Also, the landlady was "kind" enough to put little flags around the groundhog hole... I guess she figured the horse would be smart enough to know that those little marker flags mean keep away from there. We had tried filling the hole with large rocks, but it really needs to be better taken care of.) We had to drop off the truck to get inspected. Went to Wally World again, this time to get more jeans, as I had found a hole right by my back pocket. Then we went out to lunch. Then just kind of hung out at home, washed my mare's tail and sprayed it real good with coat polish to help burr removal be a lot easier. Had a light supper, watched a DVD. By then the little hole by my back pocket was a huge slit! Good thing I got those new jeans!

Monday, I was home alone. Had mare's feet trimmed. Did laundry, washed dishes, paid some bills, did some more research online regarding my mare's laminitis (which is in "remission").

Now it's Tue and I gotta go back to work! UGH!
