My sister saw a huge flock of Robins up here somewhere back in January. I think there may be some who hang out up here all winter. Where, who knows? Just like a lot of Canada geese now. For several years, huge flocks are seen here all winter. The ones I see who migrate are the snow geese, which are really neat.

The other day, about 8am, I took the dog out before going to work. I heard the honking of geese in flight and looked for them. The sky was full of dark clouds to the north, but the sun was out. I kept scanning the sky and then I saw them. It looked like tiny sparkling diamonds skittering across a sheet of dark gray velvet. It seemed like there were thousands of them. They were flying southward and the sun was shining on them, and you could then tell they were snow geese. Huge flocks of them. So cool. :) Every Feb. they come through here and for a few weeks you see them flying south and sometimes they take a break in a farmer's field.

Today we had a 2nd snow day. It's about 2pm and still snowing. We must've gotten at least a foot of snow again. We had a huge drift, nearly 3 ft high, against our one door... the one we use the most! It got very bright out, too, so the sun is trying to shine through. Looks neat, with the snow still swirling down.

I heard that we're supposed to get yet another blizzard after Mar 7th. There was a weather forecaster saying that we could get as much as 3-4 ft! I sure hope not! We'll never see Spring! lol

Last night the governor declared that no tractor-trailers or box trucks would be allowed on the PA turnpike. Hadn't heard about the other highways. Not sure if that's still in effect or not. It's sure been a snowy winter. But I sure am ready for some nice balmy weather now. :D
