Subject: It's almost September!

Where did the rest of the year go? I already have leaves falling, the garden has all but quit, the nights seem to be getting cooler, and the herricanes and himacanes are coming at us one right after the other! I've noticed the squirrels are all over the pine trees in the yard. They sure can tear up a pine cone eating the seeds. My pears are ripening, all of the wild critters are helping themselves. They are good at keeping the area under the trees clean. The crows eat the fruit in the top of the trees, and I am picking pears in the middle. lol I guess I have had my fill of hot weather for this year. It's been one of the hottest on record. I'm ready for some cool days!
