Hey kids -- I was updating my bookmarks and thought I'd just check in to see who is still posting - Hi Chickie! :>
Brief update, I found the perfect family to adopt my small flock of girls after predators had decimated their numbers and broke my heart last spring. The family renamed them and they are pampered pets. I sold the farm (took a beating financially in this economy but that's another story) in September and then moved to Lawrence where I'm renting a townhouse with a fenced backyard for the dogs. Big change but I needed it. Living in the country without Paul didn't make sense and it's been an interesting lifestyle change.
I do miss my chickens and plan on having them again in the future just not sure when or where!
