Francys Barraza - Venezuela

Model of The Universe Venezuela 2003, the beautiful Francys Barraza beat off tough competition to become the winner of the Model of The Universe 2003 World Final Competition in Ghana, West Africa.

The Model of The Universe 2003 World Final Competition took place on the 8th November 2003 at the prestigious National Theatre in Accra, Ghana, West Africa. This Five Star event was the prefect stage for the Five Star World Final and an international audience filled the venue to see the Model of The Universe 2003 contestants take to the stage and the Model of The Universe 2003 Judging Panel make their decision.

All of the Model of The Universe 2003 contestants were simply stunning and the judges had a really hard decision trying to pick just one winner but Model of The Universe 2003 Venezuela, Francys Barraza shone in stage and ran way with the 1st place title.

24 years of age and standing 1m74 tall, Francys was a firm favourite of the press and other contestants from day one.

Fluent in Spanish, Polish, English, Francys is a full time student in her home time in Valencia, Venezuela.

The official judging panel for Model of The Universe 2003 was a truly international jury and included Miss Bikini World 2003 Evgeniya Lapova from Russia, and various other members of the European fashion and modelling industry.

The results of the Model of The Universe 2003 Fashion and Beauty Awards were announced on stage just before the judges chose the top 12 before deciding the winner. As the results were read out the contestants held their breath in anticipation and excitement. The winners were:

Then it was time to announce the winners.

The audience went quiet as the Model of The Universe 2003 Presenter took centre stage and announced the top three winners.

The Model of The Universe 2003, 2nd Runner Up was the stunning Kerttu Talvik of Estonia. A professional model in her home country, Kerttu was delighted with the result and took centre stage amongst an array of applause and camera flashes.The pretty blonde dazzled under the lights of the camera flashes and her charming smile lit up the whole stage.

Then the winner of Model of The Universe 2003, 1st Runner Up was announced. It was, Model of The Universe Ghana, Maame Serwaa Boakye, the host country contestant. The audience went crazy as Maame Serwaa's name was announced and the press all pushed forward to get the best shots of their contestant winning 2nd place. Maame Serwaa had been a firm favourite throughout the whole competition and was one of the favourites to actually win the World Final.

Then the audience went quiet again. It was time to announce the winner. The contestants all stood still in excited anticipation whist the organsation presidnet Mr John Singh, and the Ghanain 1st Lady were invited on stage ...............

everyone then cheered as the competition favourite of contestants and the audience alike, Model of The Universe Venezuela 2003, Francys Barraza was announced as the new Model of the Universe 2003.

The stunning Francys Barraza gladly took to centre stage to receive her crown and sash, her sash was presented by the 1st Lady, and her crown by Organisation President Mr John Singh.

An overjoyed Francys, told us that she could not believe that she had won over the other beautiful contestants and that she was delighted to be taking the crown home to Venezuela.

John Singh, President of the Miss Tourism World and Model of The Universe Organisations was one of the first to congratulate, Francys on her win and they all stood on stage together as a multitude of flash bulbs and camera crews appeared to take the first photographs of the new Model of The Universe 2003, Francys Barraza.

All of the contestants were fantastic in this years competition and the Miss Tourism World and Model of The Universe Organisation would like to give everyone a huge thank you for supporting the Model of The Universe 2003 World Final Competition in Ghana.
