We can pick from the Bible anything we wish. It is best used when we pick from it to understand our own path, and not for somebody else. Last Saturday I listened to a Near-Death Experiencer talk of his journey into the afterlife. As he was approaching the Being of Light, he realized somehow that that Being of Light could be anybody or anything his thought structure needed, i.e., Jesus, Budda, Mother Mary, etc. He instead asked the Being of Light who He was. The Being of Light replied: "I am you." Now you can not necessarily take the above statement literally, though it is true if you understand it correctly at a literal level. The point is we picked the storms because we wanted the benefits the experience of the storms would bring us (which is exactly what your words said). But the We that picked those storms is not the we who is experiencing the storms. It is our mission to bring the present "me" up to the level of sacred "Me." Hope I have not spoken to much to you in circles. It was great to hear from you. Many, many blessings to you on your great adventure called "life." You have found the key!
