Her dark eyes were shadowed as she contemplated life in general. Was her heartache worth this? Pensively chewing on her lower lip, she watched the small group of foals at play. Were they happy here? Was this place integral to their lives? Snorting, she shook her head decisively. No, of course it wasn't. It was merely a pitstop on the road of life, a place soon forgotten as age took its toll.
