Subject: Thin Lizzy in Sheffield tonight

I received quite a suprise tonight when I went to see Thin Lizzy at the University Union in Sheffield. Expecting a bunch of geriatrics on zimmerframes and after hearing that John Sykes, once guitarist and now front man and guitarist was an awful singer I was in two minds about shelling out the £20 for the ticket.
Anyway, I was pleasantly suprised when 4 blokes, all with their own hair took the stage and did a damn fine job of rocking through the full Live and Dangerous album. The drum sound was a bit muffled and the guitars were a bit undermixed but I could still hear everything. (Big fuck you to the lanky, hairy bastard who managed to stand right in front of me wherever I stood. Your time will come mother-fucker...)Cool venue and I thought that John Sykes did a fine job of the vocals. With 2 original members, one of them Scott Gorham any Lizzy fans who have never seen the band live should check out the new line-up. They are not the Thin Lizzy of old but they still know how to rock
