I agree with your last paragraph thoroughly....
Even in the 3+ years we have lived in Aurora, we have noticed the decrease in road courtesy, the increase in speed, and decrease in road safety.

A good example of speed is of those entering Aurora from Newmarket and, in the south, from Oak Ridges, where it seems that drivers completely ignore the 50kph speed limit signs and rush right by at speeds of up to 80kph.

Funny though.... I have NEVER seen the police camped out at either end of Aurora. They would make a lot of money giving out fines if they did !
