"A Rendezvous in Averoigne" is one of his more famous stories. He wrote a whole series around the fictitious French town of Averoigne. His stories abound in Alchemists, weird mages, Old Ones and other Lovecraftian style things, and a unique mixture of sci-fi and weird horror.
