Subject: Jail Deaths Protest!
>>>This is an urgent plea to all organizations and individuals who care about those who have died as a result of violence or negligence at the Oklahoma County Detention Center or at the hands of arresting officers of the OC PD--- and their bereaved loved ones.
We have permits to engage in peaceful protest on Saturday, Oct. 12th between 1:30 and 2:30 P.M. at the jail (off jail land, on the sidewalk adjacent) AND across from the Municipal Court, both on N. Shartel on adjacent blocks. Please bring homemade signs with appropriate slogans, and prepare to speak or be interviewed on the subject if you so desire.
We will be bringing enlarged pictures of the traumatized victims that the medical examiner has declared to be the result of "drug overdoses, self-infliction, accidents," or "post-mortality deterioration."
We will be making signs on Fri.---call or e-mail one of us for time and place if you are free to help.
NOW is the time TAKE ACTION while the issue is still "hot" and BEFORE the election! At least 30 people, hopefully more, are needed for an effective demonstration---press releases are being issued and good media coverage expected. ( Except for the Big Game , it should be a dead news day!)
Note: For you football fanatics, carry a Walkman with earphones or just preset your VCRs and you won't miss a single play!
