It's been a couple of years since you posted that original message of yours concerning inmates in the county jail. I wouldn't have found this site at all if not for the fact that I was searching for information on my recently arrested sister. I am afraid for her because she has never been in this situation before, and I realize that something serious, including death, could happen to her. However, while she has never been in jail before, it is only because she had never been caught in her crimes. Over time she has simply became more and more violent, as has her criminal activities. It is true, the people going into that jail are rarely sweet inocent angels. My sister robbed a liquor or convenience store at gunpoint, we are still hazy on the details. We do know she committed armed robbery. The scary thing is that we know, without a shadow of a doubt, that my sister would have happily pulled the trigger on that gun. The person she robbed is lucky to be alive. The truth is she well could have killed them just for the thrill of it. That is how bad she has gotten. While I am concerned for her safety and her life, people need to understand that people like my sister have no concern for the safety, and in particular, the life of others. While I hope no one dies while in jail, most certainly my sister, I guarantee she has no concern as to whether her cell-mate lives or dies and very well could take that cell-mates life. Many of these inmates are dangerous criminals and if the guards seem to become hardened toward these people it is simply because few deserve any simpathy. Ask the four children my sister has managed to abuse and neglect every time she's managed to get them living under a roof with her again. County guards are of little concern to me-social workers should perhaps answer for their neglect of the children of these inmates. If she ever gets out, I guarantee they'll hand those kids right back to her. I know it sounds terrible, and I hate to even think it, but one may wonder if it's best she never gets out dead or alive.
