Wow, those scriptures hit the NAIL on the HEAD, Richard! I'm not one to use religion to justify my political beliefs, but apparently someone else did.

Ironic that the right-wing embraces "christian values" on the hot-button issues, but those scriptures seem to indicate that they aren't as worried about God's wrath against us for not caring for the weak and/or poor.

Thanks, to whomever posted those verses. The God I know and love isn't a hate-spewing, goods-and-money-whording, sexist, racist, homophobic God. He's a loving God who hopes his followers share the same love for each other.

If we're going to inscribe "In God We Trust" on our money (because that's SOOOO important to the right), and if we're going to push for Bibles and prayer in school (despite the fact that PUBLIC schools don't have 100% christian enrollment), and if it's insisted by the right that we pledge allegiance to the flag "under God" at all our public events, then why is God's word here not as equally embraced?
