Alot of you know me in the PC world. I also hope you know I'm a very honest person. I also run a pageant system which took place this weekend. The pageant turned out wonderful, the kids had a great time, the crowns and banners were dearly loved, and they especially enjoyed their toys. Well, I had a pageant mom who wanted me to let her daughter win the Elite title, which was the highest title of both pageants. Unfortunately, this little girl had makeup on, which is not allowed, so she was marked down because of it. She placed 2nd RU in beauty. This mother basically said that if her daughter didn't win Elite, she was going to tell everyone that my husband is on the sex offenders list. She can threaten me all she wants, but I'm not going to cheat for her. So, this morning she had already made a post and had the url to his file. Its public info so anyone can look. He actually wouldn't have even still been on the list if he had signed up in October 8 years ago when I met him, but he forgot. So, he was arrested, charged for not signing the offenders list and they added another ten years to him.
The girl he was dating was 17 and he was 18. That had been going out for 2 years. Her parents loved him and couldn't wait for them to get married as soon as she was finished with high school. Well, she tied him down alot and didn't like him being with his friends, playing baseball, etc. He ended up breaking it off with her. I guess she was so upset. Her dad, an attourney, pressed charges on him because she under 18 and he was 18. The girl made it sound worse than it was, but just to make a long story short, of course they won because she was under age, even though they had been dating for 2 years, that did not matter. So, this is the story. It happened 18 years ago & we have young children at home. Now, if they were in danger, no judge would let them live with him here. This was all stirred up because of one pageant mother, who I will not even name. I'm sorry if anyone feels offended by this. He doesn't look at any photos I receive. He doesn't even like the photos contests, but he does enjoy the pageants. He tallies my scores and is pretty much done when my pageant is over. He's the one the make it run smooth. The only time he will look at a photo is if I'm retouching and I ask his advice, and then, he will give it. Nobody has anything to worry about. He has suffered with this for 18 years and our family for the last 8 years. He's a great person and everyone from pageants likes him. Now, things may be different, but I wanted to explain my side of the story before it got out of hand. I hope everyone continues to be in my photo contests, although I haven't had any for awhile because pageants have been taking up alot of my time. I'm sorry Dawn about this coming on the board. I know this has nothing to do with photos, but I hope you can at least keep my post up long enough so people can see there is nothing to worry about.
