Subject: Our family came to Tropical Kids Nationals the last year. We also went the year before and was so impressed, we had to do it again. I think I know why everyone is getting mixed up. CI

In reply to: 's message, "It was a system before it's time back then, But rest assured there are people she owes money too, And up until that last pageant Tropical Kids was a great system and Kelley was a great director, Maybe she has learned maybe not, She knows who she owes money too and who she doesnt" on 03/14/07 6:40pm

Her paperwork, which I just read, said that everyone gets half their money at the pageant, and would get the other half after returning to give up their crown to the next contender. Also, there must be 12 appearances made. She had this stated in her paperwork. And, it wasn't everyone who got paid half. Just the higher winners. My daughter won queen and got all her money. And I know the Queen of queen's received her huge crown and money.
She may have went bankrupt after that pageant because she gave out way too much with prizes, crowns, trophies, and money. That was the last pageant for Tropical Kids. Oh, and she did get wonderful compliments on the boards. I don't even remember seeing any bashing. I'm friends with one of the parents whose daughter won a mini supreme title and she loved the pageant, but wasn't planning to make the appearances, so she wouldn't have gotten her money anyway. And, the person who is posting that she is owed $500 is full of bull. There was only one $1000 winner and she's not even around anymore.

At her first nationals she gave the grand supreme winner a choice of $1000 cash or tickets for two to the Miss USA pageant. That was a great pageant too! (NT)Anonymous03/14/07 10:27pm
she may not compete but she is still owed, her last nat. didn't state any thing about appearances. And there was no queen of queens, My daughter gave up at title and there were lots of upset people and there are peopel still owed money (NT)Anonymous03/15/07 5:01am
