Everyone knows these are extremely rare, bacause they only drop off of akeha mimbus, wheich are rare themselves. Low and behold there is a dungeon full of them on a fast, fast spawn. I took two of my guildies to check this place out, its called the Water Temple Dungeon on Omishan. Problem is you gotta use an "exploit" to get there. Details below. While trying to find the super secret way up, Monarch SpongeBob passes by and I ask him if he knows how to get up there. He replied yes, but its a secret and told me how he spent so in so years in beta, figuring this out (slight exaggaration), and how he wasn't telling.
So we finally figure it out. Took three of us about 4 hours to find it. We get up there, and low and behold the dungeon is full of SpongeBob's slaves, milking the akehas for every carapace there is.

I think what Spongebob had here is called a monopoly, we can ask Microsoft for the definition of that. If it was a pk zone, it wouldn't matter.
Here's the deal... carapaces need not be 2k-5k a piece. They have the same drop rate as reedshark spikes. Go to 14N, 45.7E. There are treehouses there, for a reference. There is also a wooden bridge. Look at the cliff wall, find a seam that goes up at a 85 degree angle. Stand perpendicular to the seam, hold down the strafe button so that you are strafing into the seam, and keep hitting the jump key, till you hit the top.
Hope that helps those that need carapaces, or those that just want to explore a new dungeon.
