I watch to see who is being attacked, tough in a crowd but there is a good delay in what damage shows in the fellow window and actuall. Watching for blood splatter from the person is a good way to see who is getting whacked.

Use the backslash key ( \ ) to quickly flip back and forth between yourself and the person you are healing eliminating the need to try to click on them.

Heals will not work if you lose line-of-sight of the person you want to heal. So make sure you are close enough to maintain visual contact with them even if they decide to run.
