I had no idea what a tact was.

It's pretty neat, and better than a Ranger.

If I do decide to play Retail, I am going the Tact/mage route too. They have some neat mage spells, and can dual wield weapons (if I decide melee instead of mage)

A support mage / Tact would be awesome, and everyone would want to fellow with you.

I bet I will have to go hard as soon as the game comes out to take advantage of being a tact, they will get nerfed in Dec or Jan update. So you gotta take advantage of turrets while you can. Exploit quickly and early they always say.
