Diety hadn't expected Sleet to understand. She had expected silence. And as her mother's call reached her ears, she paused in her running, and halted. She tilted her head, thinking hard, trying to work outmatters in her mind. Slowly, she turns and looks back the way she had come. Then teh realization hit her, and she let out a soft, painful whimper. She didn't want to leave her mother, or her siblings. In a dawning of understanding, Diety let loose a long, loud howl, this time, not of remourse, but of defience. SLeet would always be her mother. She stepped forward a few feet, then paused and let loose another defient howl. SHe wouldn't be pushed form her home because of her stubborn nature. Swiftly, she broke into a lope, and no other sound was made.
