The wind tossed through wraith-like branches
Amber dusk of no warmth shadowed headstones
She stood unclothed as the falling leaves
painted a multitude of shadows on the canvas of her skin
She stretched her ivory arms heavenward
Death came from above, she thought
From out of the deepest upper atmospheres
She waited, her patience mocking eternity
He had died first, but it mattered not
In dreams he told her of peering upon an
opened ancient volume of humanity
There he had seen her name:
She would soon fly as he had flown
She peered down at his grave as
the memories tried to take her
But she turned her grim smile to the side
It began to mist and the amber light softened
