It was cold again last night
As I heard her children cry
She must have put up a fight
But life had pasted her by
So much confusion in their eyes
Now restless thoughts of survival
Will dampen and muffle their cries
Homelessness has become a revival
Today the same as before
Tired of living, tired of feeling cheap
Desiring and intent on somthing more
While this homeless price is too steep
Dirty faces up and down the street
Knowing that they will never see
These torn clothes, an old business man's suit
Doesn't fit the man I used to be
Standing on the corner hailing life's cab
But noone stops for a man of my means
Ignored and passed by the yellow signs
No ride, no address, in the street of dreams
