Balmain Sinfonia
Concerto Competition

details ...

Every two years Balmain Sinfonia holds a concerto competition for
outstanding young players. Two important changes are occurring this year.
Firstly, the age limit will be raised by two years to 23.
Also, we are limiting the competition to strings, to more closely reflect
the award presented, the RICHARD GOLDNER AWARD. Richard was himself a viola player and the founder of Musica Viva.

The competition, which will be held at Newington College, shall commence on July 28th. The closing date for entries is June 13th.
